Nervous System Reset

120min Session

A Nervous System Reset is a holistic therapy designed to use the combined power of supportive touch, physical release techniques, and subtle energy work to help your body and nervous system transition out of chronic stress states and into a more balanced, calm, and resilient state of being.

Nervous System Reset works at the level where chronic stress is actually stored—in your autonomic nervous system, where your body has learned to stay in protection mode even when the threat is long gone

Who this Session is for

This treatment is designed for individuals experiencing:

  • Chronic stress or anxiety that persists despite rest or lifestyle changes

  • Nervous system dysregulation (hypervigilance, difficulty relaxing, emotional reactivity)

  • Physical tension patterns that won't release with conventional massage

  • Burnout from prolonged high-stress periods

  • Sleep disturbances related to an overactive nervous system

  • Digestive issues connected to stress (gut-brain axis dysregulation)

  • Trauma-related holding patterns in the body

  • Difficulty feeling safe or grounded in your own body

This session is particularly effective for high-performers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and practitioners who carry significant responsibility and need deep nervous system support.

The Therapeutic Approach

Supportive Touch

We use precise, intentional touch to communicate safety directly to your nervous system. This isn't generic massage—it's targeted somatic therapy that signals to your autonomic nervous system that it can finally shift out of survival mode.

Through skilled hand placement and pressure, we help your body recognize that the hypervigilance it's been maintaining is no longer necessary. Your nervous system begins to trust that it's safe to let go.

Physical Release Techniques

Subtle Energy Work

Beyond physical technique, we work with the energetic dimension of healing—supporting your body's innate wisdom to rebalance and restore itself. This creates the conditions for lasting change, not just temporary relief.

Our work may include:

  • Craniosacral Techniques to calm your central nervous system through gentle work with the membranes and fluid surrounding your brain and spinal cord

  • Neuromuscular Therapy to address trigger points and fascial restrictions where stress has created holding patterns

  • Myofascial release

  • Abdominal work to release tension in your "second brain"—the enteric nervous system where emotional stress often lodges

  • Structural alignment to address misalignments that keep your nervous system working overtime

  • Energy work to support your body's natural healing capacity and clear blockages

The specific combination depends entirely on what your body needs that day. Some sessions focus heavily on craniosacral work. Others require deeper tissue release. We follow your nervous system's lead.

What happens  during your Session

We'll begin with a brief intake conversation where you'll share:

  • How stress is showing up in your life right now

  • Where you're holding physical tension or pain

  • How you're sleeping and digesting

  • Any trauma history so we can honor your body's needs with sensitivity

  • What you're hoping to experience or release

We'll walk you through exactly what will happen during the treatment, answer any questions you have about the work or touch, and help you clarify an intention for your session.

The Treatment

You'll settle into our treatment table in a private room that opens to views of Lake Atitlan. We'll work with you using techniques that feel right for what your body is asking for in each moment—there's no predetermined sequence, just responsive, intuitive care.

You might find yourself:

  • Drifting into deep relaxation or sleep

  • Releasing emotion through tears, sighs, or even laughter

  • Feeling tingling, warmth, or waves moving through you

  • Having memories or insights surface unexpectedly

  • Sensing your body naturally unwinding layers of holding

Whatever arises is welcome here.

We'll  finish the session bringing  you back slowly, making sure you feel grounded before you sit up.

We'll share tea and take time you need to process what happened and offer thoughts on what was noticed in your body and suggest ways to support your nervous system as it continues integrating this work in the days ahead.

This is your time—we'll talk through whatever questions or reflections you have.

What to Expect after Your Session

Immediately After:

  • You may feel deeply relaxed, slightly lightheaded, or energized

  • Colors may seem brighter, sounds clearer

  • A sense of being "in your body" in a new way

  • Emotional sensitivity (this is your nervous system recalibrating)

24-48 Hours After:

  • Continued processing (emotions, dreams, physical sensations)

  • Possible fatigue as your body integrates the work

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Reduced pain or tension

  • Greater emotional clarity

1-2 Weeks After:

  • More sustained sense of calm

  • Improved stress resilience

  • Better digestion

  • Increased energy and focus

  • Physical tension patterns may return partially (this indicates deeper work is needed).

Important: One session begins the reset process, but chronic nervous system patterns typically require multiple sessions to fully shift.
